Funky Smell Coming from Dishwasher…
So I thought that I would finish off the weekend with my latest experiment. I don’t use our dishwasher very often and I noticed that it does not dry well — as a result, a funky smell started brewing that I noticed each time I opened it.
This stink box needed to be freshened up! I found a great post that was super easy on how to clean your dishwasher. Are you ready? it’s so simple (an no harsh chemicals!) — grab a glass measuring cup —…pour two cups of white vinegar in the cup and place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. If you’re an essential oil user like myself add five drops of lemon or any citrus for added sanitation and scent!
Shut the dishwasher (remember-NOTHING else is inside) and turn the dishwasher on the hottest cycle you have. The vinegar and hot water work together to loosen grime, deodorize, and the On Guard helps to sanitize the interior of the dishwasher.
And Voila! Clean as a whistle! When was the last time you cleaned your dishwasher?
